Just a little late night novel break.
(Like a snack break, but with emotions instead of Cheez-Its.)

Wrote this line and it lowkey wrecked me. River gets under my skin in the best way. It’s quiet line, but one that says so much—especially if you get to know River.

“River didn’t move. Their heartbeats being the loudest sound in the room and for the first time not in sync.”

I don’t know if this line will land for anyone else the way it hit me—but it’s one I won’t forget.

Anyway…
Should I be sleeping? Yes.
Am I posting this instead? Also yes.
Will this be the last time that this happens? Probably not.
